We both successfully made the climb via the Transfagarasan highway to Balea Lake today. 1525 meter climb in about 20km with only 9 meters of descent per my garmin. We were quite worried that we couldn’t manage it on the recumbent especially in holiday traffic. Sore but happy!!!

Wow! 4500 feet of vertical. You guys are my new heroes. It’s all downhill from here. Please don’t give Flora any ideas. I’m trying to convince her that flat ol Kansas is an under-rated bicycle destination. Can’t wait to hear all of your stories and to see your pictures. Well gotta go.
